My Favorite Café Spots in Toronto & Brooklyn
I’ve come to realize that the spaces we inhabit are just as vital as the work we do. For me, the ritual of finding the perfect matcha latte is more than just a caffeine fix—it’s a non-negotiable part of my creative and wellness practice.
It’s about being grounded, intentional, and creating a little sanctuary of focus, whether I’m in my home base or moving between continents. These café spaces are where ideas flourish, where I journal, and where I find that quiet, soft confidence needed to build my business. Today, I’m sharing my most loved spots in Toronto and Brooklyn that truly understand the assignment.
Bloom Café (Toronto) - 596 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M4Y 1Z3
Bloom isn’t just a café; it’s a necessary part of my remote-work ecosystem. What makes it my favourite is the pure quality of their ceremonial grade matcha. I’m talking about a vibrant green, smooth, and naturally sweet blend that just hits differently.
When you know, you know, right? It was so good that I actually bought a three-month supply of their blend for my home setup—that’s how you know it’s a staple. The vibe here is clean, minimal, and flooded with natural light, making it the perfect backdrop for deep work. It’s aesthetically pleasing without being pretentious, which aligns perfectly with my creative entrepreneur spirit. You can find their spot here.
Sweet Sunday’s Café (Brooklyn) - 2916 Beverley Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11226
When I'm moving through Brooklyn, I look for a space that feels expansive and communal while not being too crowded and loud like most of your typical Starbucks locations nowadays. Sweet Sunday’s truly delivers on the atmosphere. It’s got a great energy, excellent seating options, and an overall good vibe for getting into a co-working flow. It’s practical, but still feels warm and intentional. Now, to be honest, the matcha itself wasn’t quite my preferred profile—I tried mine with hibiscus syrup, and I realized I didn’t like that combination, also the matcha just seemed like it wasn’t the best quality however the club sandwich and the customer service is great and so — I still love coming here for the overall environment. Sometimes the space is more important than the specific brew, and this spot is worth visiting just for the creative energy in the room. Check out their location here.
5AM Club (Port of Spain, Trinidad) - 47 Carlos St, Port of Spain
I recently had the opportunity to visit when all the speakers for an upcoming Fireside Chat panel, where I was a guest, gathered to create promotional video content. Honestly, it was such a lovely experience. The interior design is beautiful, and the coffee was amazing. I did not have a matcha this time around, but I'm very hopeful to try it because the shade of green looks like a chef's kiss. But on my way out when I was leaving, I decided to try a pumpkin spice latte and it was top-tier. I actually, in all honesty, wasn't expecting the coffee to be that good, and I really hope they open up a location in San Fernando in the near future! This spot is truly inspiring, connecting me to that foundational Caribbean-rooted energy. If you're looking for a quick peek until I write up the full deep dive, you can find them here.
It all comes back to finding those little pockets of peace that support our biggest visions. For me, that’s the perfect cup of matcha and a well-designed space. These rituals keep me aligned, creative, and centered. If you’re curious about how I bring this vibe home, I’ll be sharing my full, minimalist matcha setup in a separate post soon, so stay tuned!

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Answer: Because your website isn’t just about it existing, you have a website but is it working. If it hasn’t been optimized, updated, or reviewed in the past 3–6 months, chances are it’s no longer aligned with your business goals. A strategy session helps you refocus and turn your site into a tool again, not just a placeholder.
-
Answer: This isn’t a generic chat. We’ll review your current website, identify where it's falling flat, and discuss what needs to shift, whether it’s content, structure, visibility (SEO), or conversion flow. You’ll leave with clarity, recommendations, and a roadmap you can use.
-
Answer: Absolutely. Most of the time, you don’t need a full rebuild, you need a professional eye and some smart, intentional tweaks. This session helps you maximize what you already have and build a phased plan if a full redesign ever becomes necessary.
-
Answer: Yes, my support packages are built with sustainability in mind.
Whether it’s a quarterly check-in, a flexible refresh plan, or a lightweight retainer, we can find a rhythm that works for your business and budget. The goal is consistent alignment, not constant updates.
-
Answer: I hear this more often than you’d think. What makes this different is the focus on strategy and relationship. We don’t just build things, I ask questions, guide decisions, and help you maintain your investment.
And if something isn’t the right fit, I’ll tell you. No fluff, no pressure.
-
Answer: Of course, you can! However, the better question is: are you actually doing it? If not, there’s no shame in that. Most business owners don’t have the time, capacity, or clarity to make the most strategic edits. That’s where I come in, to partner with you and take that weight off your plate.
