Melissa Jackson Personal Branding & Website Design | Washington, DC Consultant
Melissa Jackson is a New York City native who now resides in Washington, DC, where she was building a thriving career through her company, We Color On The Walls, LLC.
A few years ago, Melissa came to me ready to make a bold leap: building a professional brand that could exist beyond the company she had already established.
At the time, she was exploring opportunities to expand her work through workshops, consulting, speaking, and other professional engagements. She needed a brand presence that could grow with her, one that positioned Melissa Jackson the professional, not simply the company.
That meant creating a distinct personal brand and website that gave her the space to tell her story, communicate her expertise, and begin laying the foundation for the next evolution of her career.
The goal wasn't to create a personal brand just for the sake of having one.
It was about creating a platform for where she was going.
Together, we developed a visual identity that felt polished, professional, and distinctly Melissa, then translated that direction into a website designed to introduce her beyond her existing business.
The website gave her a dedicated digital home to showcase who she was, what she knew, the work she was building, and the opportunities she wanted to pursue.
From the visual direction to the website structure, the project was rooted in one central idea:
Her brand needed to be ready for the opportunities she hadn't stepped into yet.
And that's something I think is important when building a personal brand.
You don't want to design only for where you are today.
You want to create a brand that can support the version of your career, business, and visibility you're growing into.
